Experience Native Tlingit culture, unspoiled wilderness, and Alaska-sized adventure at Icy Strait Point. Board a catamaran in Juneau for a two-hour cruise to Icy Strait Point, the only private cruise ship port in Alaska. En route keep an eye out for humpback and Orca whales, sea lions, seals and other marine life.

Once you arrive at Icy Strait Point head off on one of your already scheduled tours or visit our locally operated retail shops for unique souvenirs. Visit our waterfront view restaurants for fresh seafood options, and don’t forget to try our famous Alaska Crabby Bloody Mary. Plus, you can walk along the nature trail to get away from it all and wander through our museum to learn about the history of the cannery and the fishing industry in Hoonah. Be sure to take a ride to the top of the mountain. Access the Mountaintop gondola at the Wilderness Landing site and gently glide through the forest, 200’ above ground, to reach the top of White Alice Mountain.

SkyGlider & World's Largest ZipRider with Round-Trip Catamaran Cruise

This is it—the world’s largest zip line!

Your fun starts with a mesmerizing ascent on the Mountain Top Gondola. You will find the views of Icy Strait, Glacier Bay National Park breathtaking as you glide to the top of the mountain. After a short walk to the launching area, which is 1,300 feet high, you will load into a special harness seat. When it is your turn, you and five other guests will launch together, and you’re off, accelerating to as much as 60 mph as you pass 300’ above the treetops. If your eyes are still open, you will see sweeping, breathtaking views of Port Frederick, Icy Strait, and your cruise ship below.

Your ZipRider concludes with a brake-activated landing on the beach by the photo shop where you can view and purchase a photo of your adventure. Your fellow cruisers will be at the Drop Zone or Duck Point Smokehouse restaurant next door to welcome you back to earth.

Jeet's Challenge Including SkyGlider, ZipRider & Catamaran Cruise

Race 8.5 miles from Icy Strait Point to the top of ZipRider. In honor of J'eet, the first four finishers will each light signal fires at the top of the mountain. Then, ride the ZipRider back to Icy Strait Point.
