This was a port during our recent Alaskan cruise. We were brought to the cannery via cruise ship tender. Take some time to walk and simply breathe in the serenity of this location. Isolated, rugged and downright beautiful. You can get lost in the museum, during the trail walk, or simply shopping in the many trading post type shops in this renovated cannery. We enjoyed learning about how the cannery worked, and we enjoyed our walk through the museum. I needed at least 3 hours so that I could enjoy fresh crab and also make sure I saw everything that was possible to see. There is no admission charge to the cannery. There are many photo opportunities near fishing nets, or with the harbour as your back drop. Enjoy the local hospitality of people. We were treated so well by everyone!
